Our Precious Neighbours

Room 3 students wanted to get to know their school neighbours. First we made some invitations and then we walked up Greenhill Road to deliver them to our neighbour's letterboxes. We were really excited to get 9 replies to our invitations. Next, we had to make some muffins with the help of our lovely mums and Mrs Hadley. After that we decided what we would want to find out about our neighbours and wrote down some questions we could ask them. Finally the big day arrived. We greeted our neighbours one by one and got to put names to faces. We practised being good hosts as we made them cups of tea and offered them some of our delicious muffins. We had lots of fun getting to know our neighbours and some of the history of Ngatimoti. Some of them had brought interesting things to share or show us like honey comb and kiwi feathers. All and all we had a great afternoon making some new friends.

Keep your eyes peeled for the biography we have almost published, called 'Our Precious Neighbours'.
